CRAA Swim Lessons CRAA is offering group swimming lessons for the summer of 2008. These lessons are designed for the beginner swimmer ages 4 - 12 and include instruction for first-time swimmers up to those who are capable of swimming freestyle and backstroke. Students are grouped according to ability. Beginner lessons will include: Orientation to the Facility and Water, Blowing Bubbles, Streamlining, Floating on Stomach and Back, Flutter Kicking on Stomach and Back, Freestyle Swimming with Rotary Breathing, Backstroke Swimming, Breaststroke Armstroke, Dolphin Kicking, Breaststroke Kicking, Jumping in Shallow and Deep Water, Front and Back Starts, and Open Turns. Group lesson student to teacher ratio will be 3 to 1. With this, each child will now receive more attention from the instructor in the group setting. Private lessons are also available. Classes fill quickly, so register early. CRAA 2008 Summer Lessons Schedule All group and private lessons are held at Coe College. CRAA is very grateful to Coe College for allowing CRAA to rent the facility and utilize the time to teach swim lessons to the public. The stroke clinic is at Washington High School. |
