Introduction
CRAA is a comprehensive community aquatics program recognized for excellence at national, regional, and local levels.  CRAA strives to
develop positive values, fitness, and skills that promote individual growth and community involvement in a fun and safe environment.

USA Swimming
USA Swimming is the national governing body for amateur competitive swimming in the United States.  USA Swimming divides the country into
Local Swimming Committees (LSC’s).  USA Swimming:
  • Formulates rules
  • Conducts National Championships
  • Disseminates safety and sports medicine information
  • Selects competitors to represent the country in international competitions
  • Insures the development of its’ member clubs and age group swimmers
  • Is the governing body that sanctions meets in which CRAA participates

CRAA is a club member of the USA Swimming, Inc. and competes locally in the Iowa LSC.  All CRAA swimmers and coaches need to be
members of the USA Swimming.  By being a member of USA Swimming, swimmers have liability insurance at all USS approved events,
practices, and meets.

CRAA
Cedar Rapids Aquatic Association is a non-profit organization established in 1982.  It offers year-round competitive swimming for boys and
girls of all ages.

CRAA prides itself in providing a multiplicity of programs where each individual can learn fundamental swimming skills and develop those skills
to their highest desired potential.  Novice swimmers of all ages can join CRAA and receive the instruction and coaching that each individual
requires to improve, while those more experienced can be assured of the opportunity to develop to their full potential
